Light Diesel Mechanic

Location:  Evansville, IN, Altoona, IA, Memphis, IN, Pendleton, KY, Omha, NE

Light diesel mechanic for road and shop repair. All work is standard light repair like electrical, fuel and minor engine repair. There will also be tires, grease jobs, oil changes, welding, lights, air brakes and other items. Must understand DOT specks covering tractor trailers. Pay is based off knowledge and experience.

Hourly pay starts at $12 and tops out at $22 an hour.

  • Any time you are working on equipment you get paid an additional $8 an hour.
  • When you are on call from home and you get called out, you get paid an extra $50.
  • Company provides study information for all ASE test. For each ASE you pass, hourly pay goes up and you get a bonus of $250.
  • There is a tool program for new mechanics to help you get started.
  • Company pays for uniforms.

Boss Shop - Light Diesel Mechanic Flyer 5.24.17

Driver / CDL A / Local / Regional

Location:  380 Positions Nationwide

Combo / Hub Driver:

  • Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws about run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • Will assist where needed in Local Pick Up and Delivery routes (home daily, paid hourly), Hub/Regional runs (paid hourly & mileage rate) and will entail dock work (paid hourly)
  • Work the dock to include loading and unloading freight
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip
  • Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure lock on trailers and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring
  • Promptly report all problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision
  • May be required to work the dock to include loading and unloading freight
  • Must adhere to all FMCSA requirements of those holding a Commercial driver’s license
  • May be required to use in-cab technology, to include electronic logs
  • Will be allowed / needed to run over-the-road on occasion, as dictated by business needs
  • Regular attendance is required

  2. Pre-trip vehicle inspection.
  3. Hook up to correct trailer as directed by dispatcher.
  4. Drive vehicle on specified route observing DOT and Premium safe driving rules and regulations.
  5. Communicate with dispatch as directed.
  6. Sleep in sleeper during overnight stops.
  7. Deliver product and assist in loading and unloading as assigned.
  8. Backhaul product or return to domicile location as directed.
  9. Communicate with client for direction on breakdowns, accidents, product spills, emergencies, and other problems.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HVAC Technician / installer for process cooling along with being a great problem solver. Willing to thrive in a challenging environment, being a positive team player and self-motivated is a plus.
Responsibilities: Successfully operate, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Under minimal supervision once trained the individual should be able to isolate and repair most problems with onsite HVAC equipment in a process cooling setting. This will include chillers and air handling units. (Knowledge in Carrier reciprocating and screw compressors is a plus).·Operate, maintain and repair hot water boilers (Raypack 500k-1 Mill btu)· Operate, maintain and repair 150 hp clever brooks fire tube boilers.· Daily checks off sheets for equipment operation.· Help other areas of maintenance if needed.
Requirements: Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems quickly and accurately.·3+ years of industrial experience is preferred (must provide references).· Good verbal and written communications.· EPA certification not required but a plus.· Organized and with exceptional follow-through abilities.· Valid driver’s license with a clean record.· Strong ability to diagnose, repair or replace various brands of HVAC equipment. Knowledge of Variable frequency drives is a plus.· General plumbing knowledge.· Must have own tools.· Ability to work outside in extreme hot or cold climate if needed.
